Dr. John O’Fallon

Dr. O’Fallon was born in Crown Point, IN, but grew up in Iowa City. He obtained his undergraduate education at University of Iowa in Chemistry and Biochemistry in 1981, where he graduated with honors. He then attended Loyola University in Chicago where he received his medical degree in 1985. Following medical school, Dr. O’Fallon trained in general surgery for two years at Ohio State University. He then completed his urology training at Ohio State University Hospital.

Besides his expertise in urologic cancer surgery and urinary tract reconstruction, Dr. O’Fallon has developed further interests in the treatment of urinary incontinence and kidney stone disease.

Dr. O’Fallon has been associated with the Iowa City Urological Associates Since 1998. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Urology and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is also a member of the American Urological Association, American Association of Clinical Urologists, American Medical Association, Iowa State Medical Society, and American Lithotripsy Society.

Dr. O’Fallon resides with his family in Iowa City. In his free time he enjoys playing golf, boating and hiking.
